EQUIPMENT

WACOM CINTIQ PRO COMPUTER WORKSTATIONS

5 Wacom Cintiq Pro computer workstations allow for easy digital drawing.  Each computer workstation is equipped with specialized apparel and textile design software. You can check out a Pro Pen (stylus) from a Lab team member by filling out the checkout form and return it to a lab team member.

CALCOMP PATTERN DIGITIZATION TABLET

The CalComp Roll-Up digitizer is used to digitize physical patterns.  Digitized patterns can be digitall modified, graded into multiple sizes, exported as true-to-scale shapes for pattern engineering and pattern plotting.

Using the Digitizer

VELOCITY PATTERN PLOTTER/CUTTER

Plot and cut your digital patterns with the Velocity pattern plotter.  The plotter measures the paper for your pattern, print it, and cut out automatically.  Plotting/cutting cost is $0.25 per linear inch (max width 49" wide)

Using the Plotter/Cutter

ALVANON  HALF-SCALE + FULL SCALE DRESSFORMS

12 half-scale, and 2 full-scale Missy Curvy size 6 Alvaforms are available for use in the FTC. Alvanon performs scan studies around the world using various 3D body scanning methods focusing not only on size but body shapes.

ALVA VIRTUAL FORM

The Alva Virtual form is a digital representation of the  Alvaforms.  This can be used with 3D modeling software for fitting patterns developed using the Alva half scale forms or to be fit to the Full-scale Alvaform.  Garment designs are fitted on the Virtual AlvaForms, manipulated and edited in 3D design environments, and shared across the supply chain as initial prototypes before developing actual physical samples.

LECTRA KALEDO TEXTILE DESIGN SUITE SOFTWARES

Lectra Kaledo Textile Design Suite includes software for Print and pattern design and color reduction and print development, knit fabric development and 3D digital panel simulation, 3D woven digital panel design and simulation and styling software for laying out lookbooks with garment print fills and colorways.

Using the Kaledo Software

ARTISTIC DIGITIZER EMBROIDERY DESIGN SOFTWARE

The Artistic Digitizer software is used to convert your vector based artwork or in to stitches or start from scratch to create embroidery design files that the embroidery machines can process.  The software has the ability to create color separations, you can modify the stitch type, density, create realistic 3D digital renderings of your embroidery designs and prepare your files for stitching.
